St. John’s University

Founded in 1870 by the Vincentian community, St. John’s University is a private, Catholic university in New York City that celebrates diversity in all its forms.

St. John’s is home to 631 international students from 96 countries, representing different nationalities, cultures, and faith traditions. Programs, student organizations, and activities reflect this ethos, as well as the University’s focus on fighting poverty and injustice — a pillar of our mission.

Our locations, including our Manhattan campus, offer access to the area’s renowned cultural, media, government, culinary, and business resources. Students choose from more than 100 bachelor’s, master’s, and doctoral degrees.
