University of Detroit Mercy
Founded in 1877, the University of Detroit Mercy is Michigan’s largest and most comprehensive Catholic university. In 1990, the University of Detroit consolidated with Mercy College of Detroit to form the University of Detroit Mercy.
For 18 consecutive years, Detroit Mercy has achieved top-tier rankings for Midwest Best Regional Universities in the U.S. News & World Report’s “Best Colleges” edition. In the past three years, Detroit Mercy has been ranked among the top national universities and is one of four universities in Michigan ranked among the top 200 in the U.S.A.
Detroit Mercy offers more than 100 academic degrees and programs through seven schools and colleges. The current enrollment is approximately 5,000 students.
