XAVIER UNIVERSITY SCHOOL OF MEDICINE, BONAIRE

Xavier University School of Medicine (XUSOM) in Bonaire is a Caribbean medical school located in the Netherlands Antilles, and was founded by physicians who practice and teach Clinical Medicine and Basic Sciences in the United States. XUSOM is one of the very few Caribbean medical schools whose Board of Trustees is made up primarily of US physicians. We possess the experience, knowledge, and resources that are needed to provide our students with thorough basic medical instruction on our campus and in our clinical rotations in US teaching hospitals.

XUSOM offers a five-year Pre-med program and a four-year MD program designed for highly motivated high school and college graduates. We implement a comprehensive medical curriculum that parallels that of US medical schools. As a result our students are well prepared not only for all components of the United States Medical Licensing Examinations(USMLE), but also for residency training and the practice of medicine in any setting.

XUSOM is recognized by ECFMG, WHO, FAIMER/IMED and the MCC. With these accreditations, our graduates are able to practice in North America, and in any other country in the world. Thus far with our high pass rate in the medical licensing exams, our graduates are securing residency positions across North America.
