St. George's University in Grenada, West Indies, is an international centre of education founded in 1977. The School of Medicine (SOM) students join peers from leading universities including McGill University, University of Toronto, and University of Western Ontario. Currently more than 500 students from Canada study at SGU. SOM students complete a four-year medical degree, completing their last two years in our US or UK affiliated hospitals. The St. George's University School of Veterinary Medicine includes the Pre-Veterinary medical program and the Veterinary medical program which includes the four-year Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree, accommodating students from various systems of education. For clinical studies, students complete their final year at affiliated schools in Canada, US, UK, Ireland, and Australia.
