The University of the West of Scotland (UWS) has origins dating back to 1897. Today it is one of Scotland’s most modern and dynamic international universities with a regional footprint that makes it the local university for over 30% of Scotland’s population. Retaining a strong Scottish heritage, UWS is a vibrant and dynamic organisation offering undergraduate, postgraduate and research degrees, taught with a personalised approach, which enables students to achieve their professional goals and exercise leadership. The University has four campuses in Scotland; Ayr, Dumfries, Hamilton and Paisley and one campus in London. With 17,000 students and 1600 staff, UWS is Scotland’s second largest modern university.
